Canaan R. Crane, PhD, LMFT

Canaan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Family Psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1997. He continued on at OBU and earned his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2000. In 2010, Canaan completed a PhD in Family Science from Oklahoma State University. Canaan is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist by the State of Oklahoma. Canaan is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and is also a State Approved Supervisor for LMFT Licensure. Canaan has completed the Externship training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and is a member of ICEEFT.

Canaan specializes in couples and family work and has experience working with family owned businesses. He has served in a consultant capacity with large tribal organizations. He also has experience with forensic evaluations.

He is passionate about helping families and other therapists be equipped for positive change. He is an active member of University Baptist Church in Shawnee, OK where he serves as a worship leader, deacon and committee chair. He is married and has two lovely daughters.
